Tink created this secret garden for a beetle he found. Before I go any further, there are holes in the top and it has now survived for a couple of days. It shall be released later as my boy is going away tomorrow for three days. There are certain activities which don’t change from generation to generation and befriending insects is one of those things. I remember having a ladybird in a matchbox in which I had carefully created a habitat. The whimsical type of activity which is reminiscent of the Famous Five or Just William tales. Unfortunately my dotty bug was not as lucky as this little fella, I recall the horror of discovering her lay on her back “dead” still.
